Teacher of Geography

Required from April

MPS/UPS

Are you passionate about making a difference to our children’s learning? Do you understand the importance of education? Well, as part of the Academy Transformation Trust family of academies The Nicholas Hamond Academy (TNHA), judged Good by Ofsted in 2021, are “determined to be the best that we can be”. As a team, we are dedicated to delivering a high-quality education that enables students to make rapid progress and achieve transformational academic targets. We have high expectations of our pupils and every student matters to us. We work closely with our local community, including parents and carers, who actively support the work we are doing to achieve and maintain the highest possible standards. Our academy is a place to be proud of. We are 'one team' - students, staff, governors and parents - committed to working together to achieve our aim.

The Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Geography. The successful candidate will be someone who will supplement and enhance a strong established and supportive Geography department.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious professional with the ability to provide high quality teaching and enable effective use of resources and high standards of learning and achievement for pupils, within an atmosphere in which pupils feel challenged, valued and secure. To assist the Principal and the Leadership Team in the overall management of the Academy. You will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring; creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. As a key member of the team, you will play a lead role in curriculum development alongside progressing and enhancing the teaching practice of others within the academy and beyond. We are keen to secure a high calibre teacher who can make a telling contribution to our forward-looking team.

The department is part of a well led, dynamic team, whose colleagues all enjoy supporting the Academy and its culture of success amongst our students. The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by our teaching and learning team.

In return, you can look forward to fantastic CPD, employee benefits offering a comprehensive package and an employee assistance programme – plus all the satisfaction of transforming lives and outcomes and prospects that could take you anywhere within the Trust’s twenty-one schools.

Along the way, you’ll play an important part in taking us from Good to Great, and we can promise it’ll be an exciting and rewarding journey.
